Jesus made lots of bold statements, and this is one of them. But what’s amazing about Jesus is that He backed up every single one of his bold claims. Right after Jesus made this particular claim, He raised his friend Lazarus from the dead. He immediately backed up his words! Jesus isn’t asking us to follow him blindly. He’s asking us to follow him because he’s proven that what he’s said is true. He is who he says he is, and he will do all he said he would do. Today, think about the ways God has been proven trustworthy in your life. Or ask someone you know who has a relationship with God about the ways God has been proven trustworthy to them.
