Jesus Is the Ultimate Prophet, Priest and KingSample

### Jesus is the ultimate King “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.’” (Matthew 28:18) Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth. God the Father has given Him the most glorious and honorable position of the universe. Angels, authorities and powers have been subjugated to Him (1 Peter 3:22). Even though Jesus’ dominion is not yet fully visible on earth, He is the King of Kings. One day, He will also be king in the earthly sense of the world, when He has finally put all His enemies under His feet and destroyed every ungodly authority and power. Then He will reign on the new earth, and His Kingdom of peace and joy will have no end. Till then, Jesus mainly reigns “behind the scenes”. But He is in control! Paul’s letter to the Romans assures us that for those who love God, all things work together for good (Romans 8:28). It is not always easy to see this. Things seem to go wrong so often. But we need to trust that Jesus keeps His promises and in His infinite wisdom and knowledge knows what is best for us and for the world. Knowing that Jesus is in control “behind the scenes”, can you see Him at work in history?
