A Beautiful Union

There is the most beautiful union described in the Bible; it is the union of Jesus and the church. Can you picture it? A celebration unlike any other filled with time-honoured traditions and majestic sights, smells that fill you with contentment, and a room filled with your dearest family and friends... But the most precious of the celebration is the love of the union; the love Jesus has for you. Are you standing at that altar, looking into the face of Jesus, feeling unworthy? Listen, not to the noise or the chaos, but to the Father. Do you hear Him? Do you hear Jesus? Do you hear Him saying to forget your past (v. 10)? He is enthralled by you. He is captivated by you. And He has let go of your past. You are worthy because He chooses you.

GO DEEP: What do you need to let go of today to be present united with Christ? If God has forgiven you of your sins, have you also forgiven yourself? Take a moment to consider what it means for Jesus to be enthralled by you and how you reciprocate that.
