Psalms Streak: A Daily Devotional in the PsalmsSample

God's Word
This Psalm is extreme! It is double extreme. Firstly, you are not going to find a longer chapter in the Bible! And secondly, you are not going to find a greater fan of God‘s Word! The poem is divided into 22 sections, each 8 verses long. (And if you could read it in the original language you would notice that it is acrostic - that is, the verses of each stanza begin with the same letter of the Hebrew alphabet). The author has only two themes for 176 verses - this person is focussed! 1. There is nothing more valuable than God's Word. 2. Help me live according to Your Word.
GO DEEP: Don’t just take our word for it - read the first three sections (verses 1-24) and see what themes keep coming up. Write down what you learn.
Psalm 119 starts in a similar fashion to how the whole book of Psalms starts - “Blessed …” What does Psalm 119:1-2 tell us about the path to blessing?
Verses 9-11: How can we hide God's Word in our hearts?
Hold on to verse 18 - write it down where you can remember to pray this verse every time you open the Bible.
BE BOLD: Who needs to hear this? Who could you share it with?
