Psalms Streak: A Daily Devotional in the PsalmsSample

Eternal Salvation
1000 years later, this Psalm was quoted by Jesus! Jesus used the opening verse to debate with the nation’s leaders and prove His authority. If you have time, read more of the story in Mark 12:35-37. Years later, the followers of Jesus used verse 4 to underpin that Jesus made a way back for us to be right with God - to be members of His family! FOREVER! A priest was to represent the people in matters related to God - but Jesus was a priest like no other - He became the source of eternal salvation by dying for us on the cross! Verse 4 was also used to further explain that Jesus is able to empathise with our weaknesses - He was tempted in every way, just as we are - yet He did not sin!
GO DEEP: Vs 4: What else do we learn about our God from this verse? Maybe this is why God called Himself the Rock! Who else can say that they will never change?! Our Father’s love and forgiveness were there for you yesterday, are here today, and will be there tomorrow! Jesus is for you, whether you are weak or strong - He’s there for you even when you fail.
BE BOLD: Who needs to hear this? Who could you share it with?
