Infinitum Lent JourneySample

During Lent, Sundays are always an exception to the journey. A pause. A break. A freedom. Why? As we walk with Jesus towards the Cross, we do so with the end in mind. Jesus’ death doesn’t just end old things (sacrifice, sin, and even death itself)—it begins new things (freedom, relationship with God, a new way of being human). The resurrection of Jesus is always the starting place for us as followers of the Way. So, Sundays, we rejoice in the fact that we know how it all ends. Death is no longer the final word. Mourning is turned to dancing. Ashes to beauty. In other words, Sundays are a party day. Let’s celebrate all that we know of the resurrection and its beautiful explosion of color and grace in this world. Let it guide even our deepest mourning, and let God’s Love permeate our lives today! He is risen. He is risen indeed.
Take a break, go for a walk, dance, sing and spread the joy! Christ has done what we could not do! His Love has triumphed! We are free.

About this Plan

Infinitum is a way of life centred on following Jesus by loving God and loving others through an emphasis on the habits and disciplines of surrender, generosity, and mission. We aim to see the Bible and also the world through these Jesus-colored lenses. Each week’s plan will include a focus on a traditional Lenten Biblical text using Infinitum tools and lenses to enhance our experience.
