A Simple Rule: 40-Day Prayer JourneySample

Rejoice always
Jesus, thank You that You wept at your friend’s grave. I ask for Your comfort in all that I have lost. You are the resurrection and the life.
The shortest verse in the Greek New Testament is ‘rejoice always’ (1 Thessalonians 5:16), but the shortest verse in the English New Testament is ‘Jesus wept’ (John 11:35). It is right to grieve. Often sorrow and joy can mingle together. Yet God can anoint us with the oil of gladness as we release our tears.
