The Road Less Traveled - a Lent Journey for TeensSample

Prayer
“We do not learn from experience alone. We learn from reflecting on our experiences”. - John Dewey
The same principle applies when we have encounters with God. We have been on a week-long journey about peace, how Jesus’ peace is not circumstantial, and overcame many situations where there was no worldly peace to comfort Him. We are invited to experience this peace that goes beyond our wildest imaginations. Let’s look at what you’ve experienced this week.
Reflect by answering the questions:
- Jesus, take me back to my experiences this week. I trust in what I experienced with You.
- Read Matt 5:9 and revisit your notes. (I hope you made some)
- Think about one experience you had that you just can’t shake. Let’s revisit it. Talk to Jesus about what you felt.
- Where did I feel God’s mind-blowing peace and presence?
- How am I invited to be a peacemaker?

About this Plan

Lent is where we walk with Jesus for 40 days. We are going to look at the Beatitudes of Jesus. These are sayings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
