The Names of JesusSample

MEDIATOR
A few things jump out to me immediately when I read this verse. First, there is one God and one Mediator. I looked up the Greek. And in Greek, the word one also means one! There are no more gods. There is only one. There are no more mediators. There is only one.
When Jesus says, He is the way, the only way to the Father, He means that. Let us be sure of this. In Jesus, God the Father supplied everything we need.
A mediator comes in between two parties, and in Jesus' case, it was to confirm a new covenant. For Jesus entered the Most Holy Place with His blood. Not like the priests of the old covenant who needed to go repeatedly to make people ceremonially clean. But the blood of Jesus, our mediator, purifies our consciences from our sinful deeds. For His sacrifice was perfect (Hebrew 9:12, 14-15).
Secondly, Jesus is the only rightful mediator between the Father and Humanity. If this is true, and it is true, then the only thing I can do is to rest in the peace that comes from the restoration that works through the sacrifice of Christ.
There is nothing that I can do to earn my salvation, for Jesus is the mediator, not me!
