Moments for Mums: Loving When It’s Hard - Part 2Sample

What does friendship mean to you? From adventures on the school playground, to the thrills of early adulthood, and the crazy ups and downs of parenting—our friendships weather different seasons of life.
Sometimes we feel like a great and supportive friend. Other times, it can take us days to reply to a friend’s message amidst the blur of sleepless nights, nappies and chasing toddlers!
Our friendships aren’t always perfect. Sometimes they disappoint. Sometimes they hurt.
The Bible gives us examples of some great friendships—David and Jonathan, Naomi and Ruth, Paul and Silas, to name just a few.
Yet these friendships didn’t have ideal circumstances either. It was through challenges and hard times that these friends encouraged one another, spoke life, and made sacrifices to see one another flourish. Great friendships can help us step into all we are meant to be.
Questions
What kind of friend are you?
What can you do to support and encourage your friends, even when it’s hard?
Prayer
Dear Lord, help me to love my friends with the love you have shown me. I pray you would strengthen my friendships and bring loving, supportive friends into my life where I feel this is lacking.
Scripture
