Pitching Your Proposal

DAY 4 OF 4

Pitching Your Proposal,  Part IV We will wrap up this Bible reading plan by discussing Carmine Gallo’s last recommendation for developing a pitch or promoting your organization. So far, Gallo has recommended keeping your pitch short and identifying one memorable idea. Gallo’s third tip is to make sure your team is unified . For a message to stick, every member of your team should know and regularly speak the same message. When your team consistently communicates the same message, those outside of your organization will likely remember it. When Jesus sent the disciples into the surrounding Jewish communities, He taught the disciples in Matthew 10:7, "As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’" Jesus had one message that He asked His disciples to consistently communicate. If you desire to effectively communicate your organizational message, give your team a simple, clear and consistent message. Questions for Reflection : * What are some ways you or your team can consistently relay the same message? * Can you recall some clever messages or tag lines that companies have used and repeated successfully? * Would you say the disciples successfully proclaimed Jesus’ key message found in Matthew 10:7? What methods of communication did they use? Heavenly Father, all that we do in our workday we do for Your glory. Sometimes it’s hard for us to remember that. Forgive us for the times we rush through our work and don’t give it the time or attention it deserves. Thank you for calling us to excellence and giving us the tools and means to do our jobs well. Help us develop strong, consistent and well-constructed messaging when preparing our personal or organizational pitches so that the results may be effective and glorify You. In Your name, we pray. Amen. Need help crafting your personal or organizational pitch? Get valuable feedback and support from a business leader group comprised of Biblically principled peers.
