How to Build a Consistent Prayer Life Sample

3. Read Your Bible
Reading your bible is more than just reading. The word of God is one of the main ways that God speaks. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Reading his word is going to:
1. Teach you about God and his character.
2. Teach you how to pray and what to declare over your life.
3. Give you a deeper understanding and knowledge of how you are to live your life and how to seek and chase after God.
You will be limited in your spiritual growth if you do not read your bible. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” To live a life obedient to Christ, you must read his word and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you and give you the knowledge and grace to not only be a hearer of the word, but a doer.
There are many things we think we know that we really do not know until we understand the word of God. Therefore, it’s so important to not rely on other’s teachings of the word, but to read it for yourself.
