Behold: Your Future AwaitsSample

Hello lovely!  I am so excited for these next five days as we journey into Isaiah 43:19 and the promises that God has for us. My prayer for you is that you would know God even more than you do now and in return know who you are. A beautiful and loved daughter of God. Eloise x BEHOLD Isaiah 43:19 - Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. What a declarative word that God spoke to His people in Isaiah 43. They had been in captivity for over seventy years! Oh my goodness! That is 3-6 times our age (assuming you’re in youth). God was speaking faith and hope into them, from captivity to freedom. God was calling them out from the old and into the new. In Hebrew, BEHOLD means interjection (an exclamation, an interruption). The word ‘behold’ is kind of like a huge exclamation mark! Or imagine a large banner spread across a bridge on the highway with words written in bold , calling for your attention. Behold also means to see, to look, to perceive, to stand in awe and be amazed. When was the last time you were in awe of something? Did you rush off, glance over it quickly? I would imagine not! When we are in awe, we stop, we look, we stand in amazement. When there is a beautiful sunset and all the clouds are lit up, we notice it! We stop and take in the beauty. Instagram also lets us know with every second person posting about it, haha – oh wait, back to the Bible! Now that we know what behold means, we now know that what God is saying holds huge significance! God is calling us to behold who he is, all that he is doing and will continue to do. Not only do we behold what God is saying, but we are to behold WHO he is! Over these next few days, we will look into what scripture says about who God is and who we are!
