Up! We Will Elevate (Week 6)

DAY 6 OF 7

## Day Six- I See The Good In Others Welcome to this devotional for kids!  Our ‘UP’ series is inspired by our ‘We Will Elevate’ DNA. We practice showing kindness to those around us and never leave anyone out. We value others the way God values us by being a good friend and listener, respecting our leaders and parents, and choosing to always see the good in others. During this series, we want to truly grasp what it means to honor and elevate those around us, not just those who seem to be popular or the most important in our lives, but to remember that God wants us to ‘take delight in honoring each other’ that means everyone! Follow along as we truly grasp what it means to honor and elevate those around us! READ: A Hole in the Roof in any children's Bible or Matthew 9:1-8. This story of friendship shows that we, too, can see the good in others. The bible also teaches us to treat others the way we want to be treated! ASK: What do you think makes a good friend? How do you want others to treat you? Even when you are having a bad day, I am sure you would like people to cheer you up and not give up on you. In the same way, we can see the good in others. We have to choose to see past their mistakes and failures. We all make mistakes. We can all show kindness towards one another. Let’s be those who love others even when they don’t always show kindness to us. REMEMBER: > Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honouring each other. (Romans 12:10) SAY: Jesus, you show us how to be kind, No greater love will we find. Your deep love gives us great value, Growing us as we learn more about you. Our friend, our saviour, our kind teacher, Helping us see the good in each other. Amen.
