The Mind Of The Flesh

Day 1 of 3 • This day’s reading

The Mind Of The Flesh.

“Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].” Romans 8:6 AMPC

Surrender your life to Christ. For the mind of the flesh, is the carnal mind without Christ. To be carnally minded leads to death. Let Christ lead your mind. Let Christ shape the framework of your life. Let the Holy Spirit lead and direct your footsteps.

The New International Version expounds upon Romans‬ ‭8:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬ in the following manner, “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” The mind governed by the flesh leads to death—both spiritually and naturally.

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for, ‘Minded’ found in Romans 8:6 KJV, is ‘phronēma’ (G5427) which means: “What one has in the mind, the thoughts and purposes.” Let God lead your thoughts, life, and purpose.

Let His Word lead and shape your mind. When His Word governs your life, you’ll reap peace—His Peace. “So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.” Romans‬ ‭8:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬.

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, say this simple prayer:

Father God, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ.

I believe that He died and rose just for me. Father God, in the Name of Jesus, I repent of my sin and I turn to You.

I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
