Take What You NeedSample

Receive: Have you ever been in your car and felt like you needed to lower the volume on the radio to be able to see more clearly? Have you ever then stopped after one of these moments and felt really silly for doing so? This is actually a response from our brain when it’s working on too many senses at once. It’s saying, “slow down! You’re making me work so hard on hearing and steering, that my seeing is compromised!” Oftentimes we find ourselves unable to see the things that God is doing or hear the things that God is saying to us, simply because our “radio is turned up too loud.” This is your friendly reminder that God has not left you. God is not absent; God has not forgotten you. Your volume is simply too loud.  If you feel like you’ve been praying for God to show you something, or lead you somewhere, and He hasn’t yet revealed that to you, do not be discouraged. You are valuable to Him, and He knew you and saw you and planned for you before you even entered this world. To receive clarity, direction, and guidance from the Lord, we have to make space to be able to hear Him. Consider evaluating what voices are taking up space in your mind- maybe even unknowingly. Take a moment to turn the volume down on the ones that are not necessary, not helpful, and not of God. Give the radio station back to God. Read His word- know it so intimately that you can know the character of God and detect what is truly His voice and His guidance. His Word will light the way from you, it will direct the steps that you desire to take. Take a deep breath, and rest in the fact that control lies in the hands of your Creator. We need only to trust in Him, and he will take care of the rest. We need only to lean on Him, and he will guide us into His divine plans. Release control. Turn down the volume. Allow Him to lead you. Our prayer is for you to receive the clarity that God desires to give you today. Respond Set aside 15 minutes today to find a quiet place where you can commune with God. Find a place where you can go to read His word without distractions and pray to your Heavenly Father.
