Day One Everything’s a Gift \- We always celebrate and practice thankfulness!  We choose to focus on how great God is, are thankful for everything in our lives, and for the people around us. READ: Read the Story of Elisha’s Room in any Children's Bible or in 2 Kings 4:8-17 (ICB) Elisha was a prophet and had travelled around taking messages to God’s people. Elisha visited the town of Shunem and became friends with a kind couple who lived there. ASK: God loves it when we make friends with our family, friends and other people we know. All the people we have in our life have been given to us by God. People are are His gift to us. Remember Everything’s a Gift, even people. Even those people that maybe we find it hard to get along with or like are all part of God’s plan for us. Can you say thank you for all the people in your life today?  Maybe you could write their names in your little book or journal? REMEMBER: Psalm 9:1 I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;  I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. SAY: My God is good, He is awesome and great. He helps me be strong, Even when I’m afraid. I will say thank you, For all He has done. For me and my people, He loves everyone.
