Lord, I am weak and weary – please give me your strength and energy.
God promises a divine exchange to those who trust Him. The Hebrew verb translated ‘renew’ can also refer to a change of clothes. Instead of our weakness, we are clothed in strength, instead of our weariness we have the vigour of an eagle.
For reflection: Habits can be hard to change – are your old clothes just too comfortable?
