Have you ever had a rough season where it felt like everything in your life was going wrong and you felt like you were all alone?  Have you ever had a friend experience a season like that?  There will be times in our lives when we will definitely struggle and it can be tempting to withdraw from others and even block others out.  Job was hitting one of these rough patches in his life and was struggling with some pretty terrible physical disorders.  What is so great about this passage is the fact that Job’s friends were there for him.  They didn’t try to fix his problem or even try to say all the right things.  They simply sat with him and reminded him that he was not alone.  Who in your life needs to know that you are there for them?  How can you model what Job’s friends did and simply be there for a friend in need? Challenge: Today we challenge you to be a good friend to someone in your life by being there for them.  Identify at least one friend who is struggling right now and reach out to that friend.  Remember you don’t have to do the right thing or say the right thing to let someone know you care.  All you have to do is simply be there for your friend during times of need.  Go and do that today.
