Meeting Jesus and Following HimSample

Meeting Jesus and Following Him

DAY 6 OF 7

SALVATION FOR ALL IN JESUS CHRIST Everyone is able to meet Jesus, because God desires that all people are saved and know the truth (cf. 1 Timothy 2 :3-4). Unfortunately not everyone does because it is the result of a personal choice. However, nobody can pretend to not need what Christ has done on the cross, because He is the only way to the Father and to eternal life (cf. John 14 :6 and 1 Timothy 2 :5). God’s love is the same for every person, it is for that reason that He longs to spend eternity with us and that He has provided the solution for that. It means that Jesus died and rose again for everyone and that we all have the possibility of inheriting eternal life, forgiveness of sins and life in abundance. That being said, the human being has free will, he is master of his own decisions and salvation is received through a personal decision of recognising the work of Jesus on the cross and to walk with Him. To say it in a different way, it implies that Jesus died for everyone around us and He desires that everyone can receive eternal life. Nobody is pushed aside and we shouldn’t push anyone aside either. It is not up to us to decide who should or shouldn’t be saved. On the contrary, we need to agree with God who wants everybody to be saved ! Here are some of the things we received at the cross. For more information, I encourage you to read the excellent book by Derek Prince, Bought with Blood. On the cross : * Jesus became sin so that you would be made just in Him and be forgiven (cf. 2 Corinthians 5 : 21). * Jesus became a curse so that you would be blessed (cf. Galatians 3 :13-14). * Jesus took on all illness some that you would be healed (cf. Isaiah 53 :5). * ·Jesus became poor so you would be rich (cf. 2 Corinthians 8 : 9). * ·Jesus died so that you could welcome His life in you (cf. Romans 6). * Jesus took on your human nature in order that you can participate in His divine nature (cf. 2 Peter 1 :4). These things are for all and without limit. It is not a question of believing that we can pretend to one another. We are all called to benefit and to live fully all of these exchanges on the cross in our daily lives. We must also know how to present them to other people so that they may live in the fullness of God’s love manifested in Christ. So God expects you to walk in justice and forgiveness, that you are a blessed and are a source of blessing every day of your life, that you walk in divine health and in His richness. He expects you to participate in His divine nature and that His life overflows from you to bless those around you. It’s His inheritance for you. Take a moment to meditate on these exchanges so that they become a reality in your life today. Look at the world around you and start to share the love of Christ ! REFLECTIONS : Salvation is not reserved for an elite few, it is available for everybody Read 1 Timothy 2 :3-4 and John 3 :16 and take a moment to answer the following questions : ➤ What is God’s deepest desire ? ➤ God talks about the world, but what is this world ? MY DECISION : What I have understood for my own personal life : What I am deciding to do in my life based upon what I have just learnt : What you decide to do today will determine who and what you will be tomorrow !
