Great Adventurers (Week 2) Sample

Day Four - Listen and Follow Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible. Let's continue our adventure with Joshua and ‘The Battle of Jericho’. READ: ‘ The Battle of Jericho’ in the Beginner's Bible (pages 132-145) or in Joshua 6:1-20. On the seventh day God told Joshua: “Have your army march around the city seven times." Joshua did exactly what God told him to do. Maybe some of the people wondered why they were marching around Jericho so many times. But Joshua followed what God had told him to do and trusted God. Sometimes we can wonder why things happen the way they do.  But just like Joshua we can trust God.  Even when it feels like we have walked/marched around the same thing many times, we can always trust God. ASK: Can you think of something you can trust God with? Thank God that He is always faithful .He is with you always. REMEMBER: ‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19;26) SAY: I'm an adventurer. I am bold. I am strong. With the word of the Lord, I will follow. Wherever you lead, I won't stop. I've been set free! Amen!
