Book of Nehemiah Sample

STRAIGHT AND SINCERE Nehemiah was not only a prophet who delivered the word of God, but he was also a leader in God's great project in Jerusalem. As a leader, Nehemiah was a strict and very disciplined man. We can see Nehemiah's attitude toward the rulers, the priests who had wrong motivation. Nehemiah took assertive action against them and to those whose lives were not glorifying God, as well. This is also an important lesson for us as believers. Indeed, we live in the grace of God but we need to be assertive towards ourselves to keep our lives holy before the Lord. The psalmist wrote that a young man can keep his life right before God by keeping his life according to the Word of God. (Psalm 119:9) So, in the midst of the darkness of this world we can live in favor before God if we keep the Word of God as our guidance. To discipline our thoughts and our words is the most important thing as disciples of Christ. The Holy Spirit within us will help us by reminding us the Word of God we have read. If our hearts are willing to submit to His words and we sincerely carry out His commands, then surely our path will be straight. Do not compromise on sin and you will be led into holiness. We need to be firm with ourselves to keep our lives holy before God.
