Made To WinSample

Day 1: Made To Win You wake up in the morning, give thanks to God, and ask Him to allow your day to be great.  Then, you hit the road heading to your destination, and you begin to think about all the things that have kept you from achieving your life goals.  Some of us think about the lack of finances, while others wish they could go back in time and make better choices.  These rush of thoughts and feelings can begin to cause us to feel defeated.  We may feel like there is no way to get out of a financial slump, or the hardship of life we have been enduring.  We might feel like any and everything we do will end with a loss.  We may feel overcome by the world and feel we will never win.  I’ve had many days like this and over the years I’ve learned that in Christ, we were never made to have a losing or defeated mentality, and we’re not made to be overcome by the things of this world. In John 16:33 Jesus says, “I have said these things to you that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation.  But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  A few verses before verse 33, Jesus was explaining to the disciples that when He is crucified, the world will rejoice, and the disciples will be filled with sorrow. But then He tells them, their sorrow will be turned into Joy.  In verse 33, Jesus explains that once He is crucified, the disciples will deal with tribulations in this world, but they should understand that He has overcome the world.  See, we must understand that we are going to have tribulations.  This could be lack of finances or mental disturbances caused by life. We must understand that in Christ we won’t stay in these situations, because Christ has overcome these tribulations, and we we’re not made to be defeated.  We were made to have victory. 1 John 5:4 tells us, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our Faith. Because we were made in the image of God and born again in Christ, we are made to always overcome ALL things of the world and become victorious.  So, if you are ever feeling defeated, depressed, or overcome by the things of this world, just know that in Christ you were not made to lose.  You are made to win!
