GO2020 | ENGAGE: January Week 3 - WORDSample

January 29
Read
Hebrews 1:1–3
Reflect
There are many reasons to exalt Jesus Christ, the Son of God according to today’s scripture passage. What stands out to you? Yet at the same time the writer of Hebrews reminds us that this exalted Christ, the Son of God, is also the one who has spoken to us and revealed God to us. As we see and savor Christ, we see and savor God.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say it or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions.
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize

About this Plan

The first disciples of Jesus were first-hand witnesses of his life, passion, death, and resurrection. They were privileged to see him in the flesh, to savor his ministry and miracles, and to worship the exalted Christ who conquered sin, death, and hell in providing a way of salvation for all of us. This is the Jesus they proclaimed, and that we have believed in through their witness.
