Day 4: Look in God’s Mirror What happens if you stand in front of a mirror for a few minutes and look at yourself, not through your ego, but God’s eyes? Don’t shy away. Don’t get distracted by the surface. Instead, meet your gaze and hold it there for a moment. When God looks at you, He sees the eternal you. The part that is real and unchanging. He sees your soul. Are you wearing an “I don't care” attitude like a wall to block out the world? Or are you flashing false humility? Is there a tilt to your chin that says, “Don't talk to me or I might go off!” Are your shoulders hunched with defeat and the desire to not be seen? God sees all these things, and He’s looking to see if you’re using your gifts to serve Him. When you stand with God, He doesn’t judge you by your flaws. God doesn’t look at your bank account or your church attendance or any possessions. He is looking at your humility, your heart, your passion for Him. He wants you to know Him, to know His love fully, and to wholeheartedly trust Him. Can you see what God sees in you? Can you step back from your ego, damaging thoughts, and low self-esteem to see your sense of self and understand your real eternal value and worth? When God looks at you, He sees a piece of Himself because you were created in His image, and you were created for greatness. God wants all of you—your heart, soul, and mind. He thinks you are AMAZING, and YOU should too!
