We don’t just read God’s Word; we put it to work in God’s world. And we don’t just read it to gain knowledge. Anyone who claims to know all the answers doesn’t really know very much. But the person who loves God is the one whom God recognizes. 1 Corinthians 8:1-3 NLT As we gain a better understanding and appreciation for God’s Word, may we remember to humbly use it to make a difference in God’s world. May we never use Scripture for our own self-importance, but may we always use it as a way to reveal God’s love to those around us. So, what’s the big deal about the Bible? It’s the inspired Word of God that teaches us how to live. It corrects us, transforms us, renews us, equips us, encourages us, and helps us get to know God. But it’s too important to keep to ourselves. Jesus gave us final instructions—called The Great Commission—that give our lives purpose. His mission for us? Share His good news with the world. The thing about good news is that you share it. If you don’t think the Bible is good news, you’ll treat it like old news, and you don’t share old news. So, what’s your role in the Great Commission?
