Me, Unapologetically

DAY 1 OF 3

Your Daddy Loves You! Your experiences with your human father impact your ability to accept God as the Ultimate loving, patient, and trustworthy Father. Knowing this, God goes to great lengths to declare and show how he cares for His children. I believe His love for His children could readily be described by the acronym of “pleased ”: P: Provides for His children L: Loves His children E: Empowers His children A: Affirms His children S: Saves His children E: Esteems His children D: Delights in His children God’s love is actionable, tangible, and unconditional. However, the degree to which we experience His power is determined by our faith in His ability and willingness to act on our behalf. Confidence is another word for faith. If your confidence in God, your Father, is not at the level where you think of Him in the most affectionate terms of endearment, such as Daddy, etc., I encourage you to make the efforts to know Him better. Know He will honor your efforts. James 4:8 of the Good News Bible states, “Come near to God, and he will come near to you.” I am particularly moved by God's expression of love for His children in Isaiah 46:3-4. Please carefully read these verses in several different Bible translations, such as the New International Version, Amplified, and Contemporary English Version. What is the consistent message? To me, 1 Corinthians 13: 8 of The Passion Translation wonderfully summarizes God’s decisive love for each of His children in declaring, “Love never stops loving.” Beloved child, your Daddy loves you!
