 What Do You Treasure?

DAY 1 OF 3

What Do You Treasure? “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:” Matthew‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬ According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Treasure” is, ‘ thēsauros ’ (G2344) which means, “the place in which good and precious things are collected and laid up, a receptacle in which valuables are kept, a treasury, storehouse, repository.” What’s in the treasury of your heart? What have you stored up in the repository of your heart? Do you value the Word of God more than the things of this world? Who do you treasure? What do you treasure? Do you honor and treasure the Principles and Precepts of God more than the treasures of this world? Choose to surrender to Christ. Choose to surrender every area of your heart over to God. Choose to value Him. Matthew‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “Do not gather and heap up and store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust and worm consume and destroy, and where thieves break through and steal.” Earthly possessions are temporary. Natural treasures are seasonal. Lay up your treasures in Heaven. Surrender your heart to God. Choose to invest in the things that are eternal. Choose to surrender your ways over to Christ. Allow His Word to lead and direct your path. Matthew‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal.” Wealth is temporary. Influence is temporary. Popularity is temporary. But God’s Word is eternal. God’s Word leads us and teaches us how to surrender our hearts over to Him. Focus on the things that are eternal. Choose to put your trust in Christ — choose to treasure Him. “Don’t hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or—worse!—stolen by burglars.” Matthew‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭MSG‬‬ Prayer: Father God, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You for your Son Jesus Christ. I thank You for sending your Son Jesus Christ, to die for my sins. I thank You, that through the  Blood of Jesus Christ, my sins are forgiven and washed away. Through the Blood of Jesus Christ, I am made new. Through the Blood of Jesus Christ, I am made restored. Through the Blood of Jesus Christ, I am made whole. Father, I surrender my heart to You. Father, I surrender my life to You. Father, You are my Lord and I surrender my past to You. There is no failure in You. Father, there is no bondage in You. Father, I surrender to Your Power. I surrender to Your Authority. Father, I surrender to Your Word. Lord, I surrender to You always. All Power is in Your Hands. Father, I value You more than the things of this world. Lord, I honor You more than the temporal things of this age. You are my Lord. You are my Savior. You are my King. In Jesus Name. Amen.
