Relentless

DAY 7 OF 10

In the parable, the master represents God and the servants represent us, Christians. The third servant was punished because he didn’t use what he had been given, so what does that mean for us? If we don’t use what God gives us; we are certainly not following our calling, but what if we try and still fail? You may be asking: “What if I share my faith and get rejected? What if I invest in my church and it fails? What if I try my hardest and still have nothing to show for it? Will God still love me?” The good news is that God is our master, but he is also our gracious, loving father. As Christians we get to know him as both. He has blessed you because he loves you and when you share your faith and invest your time in him, you can’t fail because you are responding to his calling. You may fail by earthly standards, but you haven’t failed to respond to his calling. Choose to do the relentless things and believe that God will use both victory and failure to bring glory to the Kingdom. Reflect: Do you let the fear of failing hold you back? Do you think of God as more of a master or a father?
