The 5W Formula of PraiseSample

The 5W Formula of Praise

DAY 1 OF 5

Educators and journalists are familiar with the 5W formula. A report can be considered complete only if the 5W formula is used. Aristotle is credited with devising this formula. However, it is much older than Aristotle. He may have found it in Scripture. Simply stated, it is Who, What, Where, When, and Why.  The Psalmist David succinctly answered these questions with regard to worship. Let's start with the first W. WHO should worship God? Who should praise the Lord? David said, " I will bless the Lord." Worship is personal.  No one can do it for you. The problem with a lot of church services is they are much like a spectator sport where spectators come to watch a few play the game and never get involved. Psalm 150 lists a symphony of worship, and concludes with "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord."
