Second, memorize verses that speak to you. As you find a verse such as Philippians 1:6, you may want to memorize it. Write it on a card and read it aloud several times a day: When you memorize a verse, it’s with you forever, and its truth sinks deeply into your spirit. Proverbs 7:1–3 tells us to store up God’s commands within us and write them on the tablets of our hearts. I began doing this in childhood through Bible memory programs at school and church.
