DAY 5 OF 8

# ACCEPT THAT YOU ARE MADE IN HIS IMAGE Let’s start with a reminder: You are made in the image of God! How awesome is that?! If you keep reading past verse 27 in Genesis 1, you’ll find the first account of God giving His blessing in the Bible, and He chooses to bless us! We’re His handiwork, and in that alone we can be confident and full of self esteem to take on the world. Good luck and thanks for reading…BYE! Wish it was that easy, right? Yeah, same. Sometimes we let the world define who we are and what we should look like. It feels like a tug of war at times with social media, living in a busy city, and still trying to be a follower of Jesus. It’s tough. So as we get ready to go back to school, work, and our families, let’s be confident that Jesus created us, and with us He is well pleased! So, I dare us to take steps towards our Godly confidence. Yep, dare. Triple dog dare ya! This can look like writing a note in your mirror that has one of the scriptures we’ve read, or even a simple “YO. YOU ARE DOPE.” Another way is self care. Take five minutes to put your phone down and read a book or look at the sky. Maybe start by getting on your phone and deleting/unfollowing things that make you feel the need to compete; like you don’t measure up to them. Or maybe just take a nap! Whatever you choose, do something for you. YOUTH, DON’T FORGET THIS…GOD’S IMAGE IS ON YOU. He will always fight for you to know and to see that you are made in His image and you are perfect just the way you are. Be confident today; you rule!
