Love God Greatly - Psalm 119Sample

The Bible’s message is one of hope from beginning to the end. But, the study of the Bible is about exalting God, not ourselves. The knowledge we obtain is not simply to be stored and hoarded, but to be lived out and shared so that others may also experience the hope that we have. Although we may doubt we have any greatness within us, God has given believers great power. Therefore we should be careful not to underestimate or take for granted any spiritual knowledge we obtain.
Father God, I thank You for Your hope which lasts for an eternity. Keep my eyes focused only on You when I am distracted by the temptation to sin. Never let me take the gift of Your Word or knowledge of You for granted. Transform everything that I learn of You, Lord, into practical application for my life so that I may walk in it. I thank You for the opportunity and honor to share in Your power and Your plans for the world. In Jesus’ name.

About this Plan

Woven throughout this longest chapter of the Bible are beautiful character qualities of Scripture, reminding us that God’s Word is sufficient, truthful, pure, authoritative, and unchanging. But when we look to God himself – we see how his character is reflected in this chapter as well. This Bible study gives us a glimpse into the beauty, importance, and usefulness of Scripture, prompting us to walk away more in love with God and his Word, more aware of our sin, and more in awe of our great Savior and his sacrifice on our behalf.
