They guarded most of the places in their life, but left one tiny secret door that helped the thief to rob them of their intimacy with God. Why is intimacy with God so important? It's because without intimacy with God, there is no love needed to love all people. Without intimacy with God, there is no faith that enables us to use the heavenly opportunities here on earth. Without intimacy with God, it is important to keep your anointing, which God offers us. That is why so many of the devil's actions are concerned with crushing our intimacy with God. I have seen so many people lose everything that was dear to them. The devil has stolen it from them. They became castaways in their faith and they could never sail in the open sea again. Both, castaways from the Bible and those whom I personally know, have a common denominator – a lack of intimacy with God. At one point in their lives they didn't hear or didn't want to hear from God. They lost communication, because they didn't have an intimate relationship with Him. I trust that you will never join this list. Look for intimacy with God! Prayer: God, thank you for your relationship with me. For your accessibility and availability and that a relationship with you is possible for everyone. I thank you that the first love was always alive in me and that it burns in me. Help me get back to it. Amen. Challenge: Plan your day in a way to be able to spend it with God, in fasting and prayer. Fast for a whole day to seek God’s presence – it could concern food or something else that is important to you. Talk to Him and listen to what He wants to tell you. Let it be a day full of intimacy with Him and then, try to repeat it regularly.
