Riot 2019

DAY 9 OF 14

## Esther Have you ever found yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time? You find yourself in a bad situation, not through any fault of your own, but because you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I wonder if that was how Esther felt when she found herself in the King’s palace? Just as an edict had been passed to completely destroy the Jews, a Jewish woman herself, now right in the thick of it… Talk about wrong place at the wrong time! We read Mordecai’s amazing encouragement to Esther in chapter 4 verse 14, “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Mordecai challenges Esther to see herself as the right person, in the right place, at the right time. What if the whole reason that Esther had become Queen was so that God could use her to save His people? Esther’s attitude changed when she realised that God had placed her in the right place, at the right time, to bring deliverance for her people. How often do we find ourselves in situations, asking God, “Why me? Why here? Why now?” Instead of seeing ourselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, what if we started to confess: “I am the right person, in the right place, at the right time!”? Imagine what God could do through a person who, no matter what, saw every situation they stepped into that way! We could see entire schools saved, amazing new Kingdom initiatives started, and whole families changed! Imagine what could God do through your life if you began to see yourself as the right person, in the right place, at the right time? Let’s be people who confess: “I am the right person, in the right place, at the right time!”
