Summoned: Stepping Up to Live and Lead With JesusSample

Integrity
The word integrity is related to the word integer. An integer is a whole number, not a fraction or decimal. An integer is undivided, complete in itself. To have integrity is to be the same through and through, front to back, in private and public, inside and outside. God will intervene in our lives to shape our integrity—that is, the consistency between our inner disposition and our outward behavior.
In my heart and through my prayers, I had been saying to God that I loved God and wanted to follow Jesus, that I wanted to be truthful and honest. On the outside, I was using porn and lying to my mother. That’s inconsistent. Divided. I said one thing but did another.
Leaders must be people of character, and integrity is the cornerstone of godly character.
