Love God Greatly - 1 & 2 PeterSample

Peter tells the Christians who are persecuted for their beliefs that their hardship is a blessing in itself. Suffering shows that believers belong to Jesus. It also demonstrates the strength of God’s grace and His power to an unbelieving world. People will inevitably approach a Christian when they witness her enduring hardships patiently and joyfully. Peter tells us that we must always be prepared to give the reason for our hope. When believers confess Jesus when they are being treated unjustly, those who persecute them will be put to shame.
Do you see your suffering as a blessing? What words do you have prepared when asked your reason for the hope that is within you?
