In superhero movies, there are always two main characters: a hero and a villain. The heroes are always good, while the villains are always bad. Whether we realize it or not, we tend to think of the real world that way, too. The people who are good to us are good, but the people who are bad to us are bad. But the truth is, there is always more to the story. The people who have hurt you have usually been hurt by others. They’re not bad; they’re just broken. Maybe that’s why the Bible encourages us to pray for them! This morning, think of a “villain” in your life. Then, spend time praying for that person, asking God to help them where they may be hurting or broken.
