Why Do We Celebrate Easter?Sample

Alleluia. People use this word a lot in church and we hear this word throughout the Bible, but do you know what it really means? It is a combination of two words; "hallel", which means "to praise" and "yah" taken from "Yahweh" which means "The Lord." So when we say "hallelujah" or "Alleluia" we are really saying "Praise the Lord!" (Both spellings mean the same thing, it just depends on what version of the word you are using.) Pretty cool, huh? We use this word to celebrate what God is doing or has done in our life. God loves us and cares for us and because of that we can shout "Alleluia!"
