Who needs Friends? Think about your best friend. Think about some of the best moments you’ve had with that person. Maybe travelling, maybe the school yard pranks that went horribly wrong, maybe those moments where you’ve laughed uncontrollably until you’ve cried and wet your pants. Isn’t having friends great? But imagine life without that best friend, imagine life without any friends at all. It sucks, right?!  This is sadly the reality for so many people in this day and age. Surely one of the biggest struggles in life is walking life’s journey alone, and in other words, isolating yourself with nowhere to turn. When life hits rock bottom, we tend to draw ourselves away from community. However, God created us to have great friendships and not to do life alone. As Christian Young Adults we have the greatest opportunity to be the type of friends that are always there, always consistent and always reliable. Surely one of the keys to life is to surround yourself with friends who will weep when you weep, rejoice when you rejoice, are blessed when you’re blessed and who will champion you on in all stages of life. There is power in friendships and so many good times to be had too. Prayer: Lord, I pray that You would continue to surround us all with great friendships. That Your Word will continue to be our foundation for building great friendships and that our friendships will stand the test of time. Amen (Written by Vincent Nguyen)
