The Foundation of Ministry

Jesus desires to minister through us to spread the message of His kingdom to other people. This devotion focuses on BLESS, a transformative approach to prayer and evangelism, focused less on memorizing scripts and more on authentically loving our neighbors. It helps us move beyond feeling “stuck” in evangelism, encouraging a natural, relational practice. Through five simple missional practices—Begin with prayer, Listen with care, Eat together, Serve in love, and Share the story—BLESS equips every Covenanter with practical resources to make disciples who follow Jesus, become like Jesus, and engage in his mission in their daily lives.

You see spend time in conversation, listen well and open your heart. You sacrifice your own needs to fulfill theirs. Learn how these key ingredients work in becoming closer to God.

In this plan, we take a look at four of the nine fruit of the spirit – Peace, Faithfulness, Goodness, and Self-Control with a final study on why the fruit of the spirit is so important in our lives. May the fruit of the spirit be the signs of a life lived fully in Christ. May this be the way we are recognized.

The plan explores the true purpose of our lives, challenging us to move beyond superficial pursuits and embrace a deeper, more fulfilling existence. We emphasize that the point of life is to "passionately pursue the presence of God, the practices of God, and the people of God as we pour out our lives for the good of others." This devo is meant to encourage us to reevaluate our priorities as believers and align our lives with God's intentions for us.
