Temptation

Have you ever thought about that inner part of man, described as the “soul” or the “spirit”? In “The Release of the Spirit,” Watchman Nee lends insight to the three distinctive parts of man.  Over the next five days we will explore the scriptures and contemplate the relationship between the mortal and eternal parts of our being… our “Outermost Man,” “Outer Man” and “Inner Man”.

Release of the Spirit

If you were to define ‘the greatest evil,’ you might think of murder, child abuse, or human trafficking. C.S. Lewis mentions something else: pride. He considers this the ultimate rebellion against God, from which all other sins spring. In this reading plan, we want to explore what the Bible says about pride and which consequences pride has for our lives.

Temptation is something that we all deal with. We would all like the secret to never being tempted again. However, there isn’t one. The Bible doesn’t promise a way to avoid all temptation, but it does give instructions on how to overcome every temptation. It tells us we don’t need to be unaware of Satan’s schemes.


Overcoming Temptation

This Bible Reading Plan is about the power of our anger. Cain’s sinful heart led him to murder his brother Abel. It’s no secret that our anger can lead us down some terrible paths! That’s why we should constantly be reminded of our banner passage for this Plan:
