Psalms 96

1Ch 16:23–33

1Oh sing to the Lord a new song;

sing to the Lord, all the earth! # 1Ch 16:23–33; Ps 33:3

2Sing to the Lord, bless His name;

proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. # Ps 71:15

3Declare His glory among the nations,

His wonders among all peoples.

4For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised; # Ps 18:3

He is to be feared above all gods. # Ps 89:7; 95:3

5For all the gods of the peoples are idols,

but the Lord made the heavens. # Ps 115:15; Isa 42:5

6Honor and majesty are before Him; # Ps 104:1

strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

7Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the people, # Ps 22:27

ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. # Ps 29:1–2

8Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name;

bring an offering, and come into His courts. # Ps 45:12; 72:10

9Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; # Ps 29:2

tremble before Him, all the earth! # Ps 33:8

10Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!

Indeed, the world is established; it shall not be moved; # Ps 93:1

He will judge the peoples righteously.” # Ps 9:8; 67:4

11Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; # Ps 69:34; Isa 49:13

let the sea roar, and all that fills it;

12let the field be joyful, and all that is in it.

Then all the trees of the forests will rejoice # Isa 55:12–13

13before the Lord, for He is coming,

for He is coming to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousness,

and the peoples in His faithfulness. # Ps 98:9; Rev 19:11
