105
1Ch 16:8–22
1Oh give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; # Ps 99:6
make known His deeds among the peoples! # 1Ch 16:34; Isa 12:4
2Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; # Ps 98:5
tell of all His wondrous works! # Ps 77:12
3Glory in His holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
4Seek the Lord and His strength;
seek His face continuously. # Ps 27:8
5Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders and the judgments He has uttered, # Ps 77:11; 119:13
6O seed of Abraham, His servant,
you sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!
7He is the Lord our God;
His judgments are in all the earth. # Isa 26:9
8He remembers His covenant forever, # Ps 105:42
the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, # Dt 7:9
9the covenant which He made with Abraham, # Ge 17:2; 26:3
and His oath to Isaac,
10which He confirmed to Jacob as a statute,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11saying, “To you will I give the land of Canaan # Ge 13:15; 15:18
as the portion of your inheritance.”
12When they were few in number, # Ge 34:30; Dt 7:7
very few, and strangers in it,
13and they wandered from one nation to another,
from one kingdom to another people,
14He permitted no one to do them wrong; # Ge 35:5
He rebuked kings for their sakes,
15saying, “Touch not My anointed ones,
and do My prophets no harm!” # Ge 20:7; 26:11
16Moreover He called for a famine upon the land; # Ge 41:54
He broke the whole supply of bread. # Lev 26:26
17He sent a man ahead of them,
Joseph, who was sold as a slave. # Ge 37:36; Ac 7:9
18They hurt his feet with fetters; # Ge 39:20; 40:15
he was put in irons.
19Until the time that his word came to pass, # Ge 40:20–21
the word of the Lord tested him.
20The king sent and released him;
the ruler of the people let him go free. # Ge 41:14
21He made him lord of his house
and ruler of all his possessions, # Ge 41:40–44
22to imprison his princes at his pleasure,
and teach his elders wisdom.
23Israel also came to Egypt,
and Jacob dwelt in the land of Ham. # Ps 78:51; 106:22
24He increased His people greatly,
and made them stronger than their enemies. # Dt 26:5
25He turned their heart to hate His people,
to deal craftily with His servants. # Ac 7:19
26He sent Moses, His servant, # Ex 3:10
and Aaron whom He had chosen.
27They performed His signs among them, # Ps 78:43–51
and wonders in the land of Ham.
28He sent darkness, and made it dark;
and they did not rebel against His words. # Ps 99:7
29He turned their waters into blood,
and caused their fish to die. # Ex 7:20–21; Ps 78:44
30Their land swarmed with frogs,
even in the chambers of their kings.
31He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, # Ex 8:21–24
and gnats in all their territory. # Ex 8:16–18
32He gave them hail for rain,
and flaming fire in their land.
33He struck their vines and their fig trees,
and shattered the trees of their territory.
34He spoke and locusts came, # Ex 10:12–15
young locusts without number,
35which ate all the vegetation in their land,
and ate all the fruit of their ground.
36He also struck all the firstborn in their land, # Ge 49:3
the first fruit of all their strength. # Ps 78:51
37He also brought them out with silver and gold, # Ex 12:35–36
and there was not one who stumbled among their tribes.
38Egypt was glad when they departed, # Ex 12:33
for the fear of them had fallen upon them. # Ex 15:16
39He spread a cloud for a covering,
and fire to give light in the night. # Ne 9:12; Ps 78:14
40The people asked, and He brought quail, # Ps 78:18
and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41He opened the rock, and water gushed out; # Ex 17:6; Nu 20:11
it flowed through the dry places like a river.
42For He remembered His holy promise,
and Abraham His servant. # Ex 2:24
43He led His people out with joy,
His chosen ones with gladness.
44He gave them the lands of the nations, # Ps 78:55
and they inherited the fruit of the peoples’ labor, # Dt 6:10–11
45that they might observe His statutes
and keep His laws. # Dt 4:40
