Sons of Issachar
1#Ge 46:13Now the sons of Issachar were
Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron, four in all.
2#2Sa 24:1–9The sons of Tola were
Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Samuel. They were heads of their father’s house. The sons of Tola were mighty men of valor in their generations. Their number in the days of David was twenty-two thousand six hundred.
3The son of Uzzi was
Izrahiah,
and the sons of Izrahiah were
Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Ishiah, five chiefs in all. 4With them, by their generations, after the house of their fathers, were thirty-six thousand troops of war, battle-ready, for they had many wives and sons.
5Now their brothers from all the families of Issachar were mighty men of valor, in all eighty-seven thousand registered by genealogy.
Sons of Benjamin
6#Ge 46:21; 1Ch 8:1–40Benjamin had
Bela, Beker, and Jediael, three sons in all.
7The sons of Bela were five:
Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri. They were heads of their fathers’ houses, mighty men of valor, and registered by their genealogies, twenty-two thousand and thirty four in number.
8The sons of Beker were
Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these are the sons of Beker. 9Now their registration according to their generations, heads of their fathers’ houses, mighty men of valor, was twenty thousand two hundred.
10The son of Jediael was
Bilhan,
along with the sons of Bilhan:
Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar. 11All these sons of Jediael were heads of their fathers’ houses, mighty men of valor, numbering seventeen thousand two hundred soldiers, ready to go out to war for battle.
12And the Shuppites and Huppites were the sons of Ir; the Hushites the sons of Aher.
Sons of Naphtali
13#Nu 26:48–49The sons of Naphtali were
Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum, descendants of Bilhah.
Sons of Manasseh
14The sons of Manasseh were
Asriel, whom his Aramean concubine bore. She also bore Makir the father of Gilead. 15#Nu 26:33; 36:1–12Now Makir took a wife for Huppim and Shuppim, whose sister’s name was Maakah.
The name of the second was Zelophehad, and Zelophehad had daughters.
16Maakah the wife of Makir bore a son, and she called his name Peresh. His brother’s name was Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.
17#1Sa 12:11The son of Ulam was
Bedan.
These were the sons of Gilead, the son of Makir, the son of Manasseh. 18His sister Hammoleketh bore Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
19The sons of Shemida were
Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
Sons of Ephraim
20#Nu 26:35–36The sons of Ephraim were
Shuthelah, Bered his son,
Tahath his son, Eleadah his son,
Tahath his son, 21Zabad his son,
Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead, whom the men of Gath born in that land killed because they came down to take their livestock. 22#Ge 37:34; Job 2:11Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brothers came to comfort him. 23Then he went in to his wife, and she conceived and bore a son, so he called his name Beriah, because evil had been in his house 24#Jos 16:3; 16:5(his daughter was Sheerah, who built both Lower and Upper Beth Horon as well as Uzzen Sheerah).
25Rephah was also his son, as were Resheph,
Telah his son, Tahan his son,
26Ladan his son, Ammihud his son,
Elishama his son, 27#Ex 17:9–14; 24:13Nun his son,
and Joshua his son.
28Their possessions and settlements were Bethel and its towns, and to the east Naaran, and to the west Gezer with its towns, Shechem and its towns, and Ayyah and its towns; 29#Jdg 1:22–29also along the borders of the Manassites, Beth Shan and its towns, Taanach and its towns, Megiddo and its towns, and Dor and its towns. In these lived the sons of Joseph the son of Israel.
Sons of Asher
30#Ge 46:17; Nu 26:44–46Now the children of Asher were
Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah.
31The sons of Beriah were
Heber and Malkiel, who was the father of Birzaith.
32Heber became the father of Japhlet, Shomer, Hotham, and their sister Shua.
33The sons of Japhlet were
Pasak, Bimhal, and Ashvath.
These were the children of Japhlet.
34The sons of Shomer were
Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram.
35The sons of his brother Helem were
Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
36The sons of Zophah were
Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah, 37Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera.
38The sons of Jether were
Jephunneh, Pispah, and Ara.
39The sons of Ulla were
Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia.
40All these were the children of Asher, heads of their fathers’ houses, choice men, mighty men of valor, and heads of the leaders. They were registered by their genealogy among the army fit for war. Their number was twenty-six thousand men.
