Every Day With GodBeispiel

Did you know the word "love" is mentioned over 300 times in the King James version of the Bible? 1 John 4:8 tells us that without it, we don’t have God because God is love. He is the creator of love, and it is a never-ending attribute of His nature (AMP). No wonder there is so much love in the Word!
The love of man is so easily given and rescinded. We can only change this by knowing God more. The more we know God, the more we will know love. To the extent that we know Love is the measure that we can give love to others. This kind of love is the love that 1 Corinthians 13 describes as patient and kind, forgives easily, and holds no record of wrong. Love that is slow to anger and fights for peace. This is also the kind of love that leads one to give and make sacrifices (John 3:16). This love is evidence of God’s presence in our life (John 13:35).
Is there an area of your heart where God is not present? Do you need to be more forgiving or slower to anger? Take a moment today to look at the reality of the relationships in your life and evaluate whether you have been loving them based on their reality or your hope for their eternity. Ask God to direct your next steps as He leads you into loving people His way.
