Taking a Real RestBeispiel

Reflection
“...Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matthew 11: 28-30, The Message)
It’s active, this resting business. It’s making a decision to hand things over to the one who does it better. And it takes time to learn how to do it.
Hang out with Jesus more and you will be less hung up on stuff. Trust him, his promises, his word, and your life will go better. If we keep company with him, he will keep his promise that ‘those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength’. (Isaiah 40:31a).
Prayer
Every prayer in this devotion has started with ‘Father, help me’. It’s intentional because it’s the only way we can live freely and lightly - and the sooner we learn it the better. So: Please help me Father, to spend more time with you, learning how to do life your way.
