One of the big takeaways from the book of Esther is that God fulfills his promises through ordinary providences in everyday life. In fact, he works this way much more often than through miraculous means. Given that this is true, it means that God is working out his purposes in every detail of our very own lives. Nothing is wasted; no circumstance is meaningless. The truth is, everything going on in our lives today is somehow, some way, preparatory for what God has planned for tomorrow.
