All Shall Be Well: Awakening To God's PresenceBeispiel

The Heavens Declare the Glory of God On a too-hot summer evening, I sat outside in the dark, trying to quiet my racing mind and troubled spirit. As I cried out to God my eyes began to open to the world around. Trees, shrouded in darkness, towered above my head. Far in the distance, stars twinkled, hanging in the sky like ancient diamonds. Much closer to me, fireflies lit up the grass as they called to each other with flashes of light. Even on this night, so dark outside and within my spirit, glimmers of light invite me to come alive, invite me to find the Creator and Sustainer of all things, present, here, always. The Psalmist writes that the heavens declare the glory of God, but are we listening? Do we remember how to look, to see, to seek ? Where do you see creation pouring out truth and knowledge of the Creator, as the Psalm says? Where can you see and hear this truth today?
