Darum bist du von nun an verflucht: Weil du deinen Bruder umgebracht und den Acker mit seinem Blut getränkt hast, musst du von diesem fruchtbaren Land fort. Wenn du ein Feld bebauen willst, wird es dir kaum noch Ertrag einbringen. Ruhelos musst du von Ort zu Ort ziehen!« »Meine Strafe ist zu hart – ich kann sie nicht ertragen!«, erwiderte Kain. »Ach, Gott, du verstößt mich von dem Land, das ich zum Leben brauche.
